Our Program

Fun Learning Experiences and Care for Babies through to Kindergarten

Our program covers babies from six months of age through to a three and four year old kindergarten program.

For each age group, our qualified staff plan a program of learning experiences according to weekly observations made on children's developmental stages.

These experiences include language, literature, music, movement, art and craft, dramatic play, science, math and motor experiences to promote physical development and coordination.

ELLA Italian Language Program

The Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) programme is an innovative digital language learning programme. Preschool children are provided with the opportunity to engage in language learning through a play-based approach using apps on mobile tablet devices. The aim of the programme is for children to recognise the different sounds and concepts of a language other than English through the introduction of words, sentences and songs in age-appropriate scenarios and practices. Early experience in language learning is an important platform for encouraging language learning in the later years of education.

The programme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training, and is managed by Education Services Australia. This programme is part of the Australian Government's commitment to reviving language study in Australia.

Early Years Learning Framework

At Mentone Park Pre School and Child Care, we have created an environment that stimulates and challenges children. The National Early Years Learning Framework is a program that is designed to stimulate developmental areas through play based learning.

Working with the Framework we offer a program to compliment your child’s abilities for now and later in life. At Mentone Park Childcare & Pre School we believe in a play based environment indoor and outdoor.

  • EYLF Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

  • EYLF Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world

  • EYLF Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

  • EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

  • EYLF Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators

Outdoor Experiences

Outdoor play such as running, swinging and climbing encourages children to refine their gross motor skills. Our natural outdoor areas provide many opportunities for exploration and spontaneous play.
